IOM(International Organization for Migration) new programme to help companies to maximize the benefit of migrant labour in their supply chains

- Category - News

We introduce a new programme called the Corporate Responsibility in Eliminating Slavery and Trafficking (CREST) programme , which is an initiative of IOM Vietnam, with support from IOM’s Development Fund.

CREST is designed to help companies reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking in their daily operations and broader supply chain.

In particular, it focuses on supporting companies and their suppliers navigate new transparency and supply chain legal requirements, and adopt and implement ethical recruitment principles and practices.

Under CREST, there are three pillars of work (or services) that IOM offer the private sector:

  1. Training for the private sector on human trafficking and slavery,
  2. Pre-departure and post-arrival orientation training for labour migrants, and
  3. Supporting supply chain mapping and ethical recruitment practices.
